• Collaborated with citizen scientists using data to develop maps of fish spawning areas and to determine fish spawning times for stakeholder reports
• Engaged in recovery efforts for Atlantic Salmon in conjunction with OFAH and public volunteers.
• Leveraged ArcGIS to determine barbed-wire hair trap site suitability for black bear population estimates.
• Surveyed for invasive aquatic plant species (Water Soldier and Water-Milfoil) within sensitive watersheds and Independently completed data input using Microsoft Office suite and ArcGIS.
• Maintained accurate and detailed field notes to aid in Water Soldier removal efforts.
• Worked in a retail setting using my outdoor experiences to provide customers with the relevant hiking and camping knowledge required to make informed purchases.
• Planted trees throughout southern Ontario in a variety of conditions: rain, heat, uneven terrain, long hours.
• Worked as part of a small field crew sampling agricultural drainage systems and natural watercourses throughout southern Ontario for fish species at risk.
• Used a variety of sampling techniques including seine netting, electrofishing and dip netting, as well as conducted YSI water quality and Secchi disk measurements.
